  i used to think of leaving early.

  at the end i started making excuses to leave (supposedly work related) so that i could just get out of there.

  i wanted a drink!.

  - that cute boy who always sat on the OTHER side of the hall

  - trying not to get caught by mom for stealing glances of aforementioned cute boy

  -mainitaining a careful balance between zoning out and remaining conscious enough to stay awake

  - avoiding spankings by: taking notes, staying awake, not missing my turn to answer a question and giving a thorough scripture-infested response, don't figet, don't forget one of the books at home (and heaven help you if you forget your bible!!!). of course, this doesn't guarantee anything, but still...

  - thursday night meetings: friday is the next day. weekend is here! hopefully, i won't have to go out in the service on Saturday...

  - wondering what other kids (non-JW's) did while I'm stuck here

  Makes sense. I could see 3-d movies messing with my mind after a few glasses of wine but I would probably enjoy it. I will have to test that out at my folks house when they buy the 3-d glasses.

  I can only imagine what it would do to someone who injested halucinogens.

  @rockmehardplace: that depends on the genre. GILF's in 3-d might give me nightmares. lol

  -being a kid and wishing the rain would stop so I could go outside and play

  -a new beginning. wash away the filfth and start over

  -how much traffic is going to suck because these idiots still can't drive in the rain even though we just survived TWO blizzards in one month

  I enjoy thunderstorms now that I'm not afraid Amargeddon has arrived when it's thundering and lightning outside.

  Frosted Shredded Wheat until my filling came out last month.

  Kid's cereal until they started giving me the runs. That's when I knew I was officially an adult.

  I am a born-in.

  kicked out of mother's(JW) house as a young teen...lived with father and his wife (non-JW's)...10+ years later, I finally put two and two together when I found this website...apparently JWN is the #4 website for the google search, "newly weds sewage jokes"...perfect timing since I've been going through a bit of melt down for the past six months...piecing together why I do this and why i don't do that...socially arkward is an understatement, more like non-social...what I've learned--it's okay to make friends; it's okay to trust; yes, you can be loved and it doesn't have to be conditional;...I'm Perfect, Your Doomed was vital to my healing process...need to see a therapist and work through the social issues...haven't spoken to mother in 12yrs. and don't plan to start now...10+ years of wallowing in a mental purgatory...now I'm finally free and I'm not alone anymore...I want to help others

  also, I'm not afraid of thunderstorms anymore. they don't mean that Armagedddon is here.

  RANDY WATTER'S DAD JUST DIED

  randy watters, owner of freeminds.org father just died a couple of hours ago from pneumonia and alzheimers.

  he was 86 years old.

  as randy has been tireless in his efforts to help countless people come out of the wts, i would like to express my sincere condolences to him at this time.. .

  I tried to talk to JW's today and they ran away.

  i spotted them out in fs on my block as i turned into my driveway, so i waited for them to come around to my side of the street.

  they were in a huddle, 2 sisters and 2 brothers- the brothers had a young boy around 6 with them to get sympathy.

  i had my 1924 wt book, the way to paradise, in hand and approached them.

  let me expand that question.

  do some currently in the disorganization stay specifically for the sense of control it gives them over others(mate, children, family, friends) and the way it lets them have perceived control of others?.

  This probably applies to the local convenstions more than the DC's but did anyone else meet their friends at the baptismal pool so they could stare at it's mezmorizing ripples of righteousness?

  I miss the roast beef sandwhiches packed the little packets of bbq sauce. My mom never let me have that stuff except at the conventions.

  And boys. But not the dorky ones who talked about StarTrek. No, no. I'm talking about the ones who had parents who were "weak in the truth". The ones who my mother would never let me marry. Sigh, rebels are hot.

  Informal poll...Which Meeting was the most boring for you? Which one did you stop attending first?

  for me, it was always the theocratic ministry school/field service meeting.. strangely, i never minded giving talks, because i always wanted to perform and have virtually no stage fright.

  but, listening to some of the deadly dull talks used to make me look at the clock a lot.

  i always felt sorry for some poor slob who had to give his first bible reading on something like job's daughters raping him after getting him drunk.. i swear i think our school overseer did it on purpose because he was a mean sob.. and, i hated field slavery as my parents became witnesses when i was about 12, never did get a good attitude about it.

  Field service is the WORST, especially when I had summer vacation.

  Tuesday night bookstudy. I mean it's right in the middle of the week and it's not even hump day! I remember starting 6th grade at a Middle school with 8hr days (7:30- 4pm or something). I wasn't used to the long days or homework so, I fell asleep at bookstudy the first week of school. Of course, one of the Elders made a comment to my mother. This is one of the few times my mother actually defended me and explained to her that I was still adjusting to the new schedule. Now, you know I wasn't allowed to get away with it next week but that small victory felt pretty sweet.
